Te Puāwaitanga - Research Excellence Awards 2007

In 2007 Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga held the inaugural Te Puāwaitanga Research Excellence Awards, where we honoured the work of outstanding academics. Celebrating their lifetime of achievements the awards were made to Distinguished Professor Hirini Moko Mead, Emeritus Professor Ranginui Walker and the lateEmeritus Professors Bruce Biggs and Sir Hugh Kāwharu. Hosting this occasion was an honour and a rare opportunity to acknowledge leaders who will inspire present and future generations.
